My girlfriend was feeling sick today so I decided to go to my favorite place to get soup for her at Gourmet House OF Hong Kong. This place has been a family favorite since I was about 5 years old. FOOD: B+
We always get the wonton soup every time we go there and that is because it is by far the best Asain soup in town. I have tried soup at many different restaurants and none of them stand up to the taste of their wonton soup. When I go there I always get the beef chow fun, which is like lo Mein but the noodles are flatter and make sure to get it in the gravy sauce that is what make the dish pop. Another great dish is the Orange chicken (the best is at Chen Wok) and their Moo GOO Gai Pan beef. Over all the food is great and in a great family style restaurant.
PRICE: B
The prices are fair and you get large servings of food for what you pay for it cost about $45 for 5 people to eat last time we went as a family and we had leftovers. For less expensive options go to Panda Express (Not real Chinese food)
CLEANLINESS: A
The inside and outside were pristinely clean and the empty tables were just as clean.
OVERALL: B
Overall I give it a B, great food and fun atmosphere with family of if on a date. I would recommend this restaurant for a great date night or family special occasions. Locations and contact information for the restaurant is located on the menu. Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
