It was date night and we were very excited to try this sushi place that we read about in Phoenix Magazine under the best new restaurant section.
FOOD: A+++
BLU Sushi was by far the best sushi I have ever had here in Arizona, for that matter anywhere. I do not know what they do that is so much different than all the other sushi restaurants that I have been to but they knocked it out of the park with their sushi. We ordered the Litchfield Parks roll, this was hands down the best sushi roll I have ever had it had shrimp, sauces, cream cheese, avocado, and fresh smoked salmon. Once I bit into this roll I felt like I was in heaven. The next thing that we got was the ninja tears which are also a must have they are Jalapeño poppers Japanese style once again the best I have ever had. The Jalapeños were fresh the cream cheese was warm and the grab mix was real crab. The Las Vegas roll was better than the one that I had in Las Vegas the eel was awesome and the fresh crab mix that they put on top was to die for, it was absolutely amazing. The Marylyn Monroe roll was excellent as well the shrimp tempura and the crunchies were amazing. You have to try everything here there was not one bad roll or piece of sushi here.
SERVICE: N/A
To be honest with you the service was horrible only because three waiters called off and the manager and 1 waitress (her first day) had to handle all 8tables. I am overlooking the bad service because the food was so good.
PRICE: $$-$$$
We had four rolls and 2 miso soups and an edamame all total came out to be $65.00 with tip.
CLEANLINESS: A
All I have to say it that it was very very clean.
OVERALL: A+++
Overall I give it an A+++. The food amazing and by far the best sushi I have ever had. This is a restaurant you got to check out you will not be disappointed. Menu and location posted below, mMake it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
