When we were in Vegas a few weeks ago on our way home and we decided to eat off the strip since it was cheaper plus the Roulette table was not nice to us this time. We saw what we believed to be a local restaurant in AZ actually in Las Vegas so we decided to see if the food was better here.
FOOD: C
Macayo’s is where we went, for all those who don’t know this is a famous Mexican restaurant in Arizona, even though this is the case it is generic Mexican food. The food is average, the beans taste like out of a can topped with some shredded cheese and the rice is white rice with some spices and tomatoes sauce. The chimichangas have too much tortilla and not a lot of meat( at least mine did). The hot sauce was decent and the chips are great because they keep coming and coming and coming. They do have great happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays. Macayo’s is ok but there are many other restaurant that serve better Mexican food.
PRICE: $-$$
The prices range from $5- $17 and the our bill for 4 people was about $50 with tip, food and drinks.
CLEANLINESS: B
All I have to say with as many people that were going in and out it, it was pretty clean.
OVERALL: C
Overall I give it a C I recommend this restaurant if you are around Macayo’s and there is not anything else open. Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
