Yesterday my mom and I decide to go out to eat, she found out the last time we went to have sushi that she loves it. Last time we had Hayashi (which is GRADE A SUSHI) so this time I wanted to try one of my old favorites, didn’t turn out like I remember…
FOOD: B
We decided to order the special of the day which is called the APPLE #1 which had shrimp tempura, white fish, cream cheese and avocado with mustard sauce. This was a great roll the sauce was amazing I have never had a sauce like this I think it was a mix of Sriracha sauce and eel sauce, AMAZING! My mom ordered the Cancun roll which is spicy tuna and jalapeño cream cheese and cilantro, this roll was ok it had good flavor but it had a very small amount of tuna, and had a bit too much cilantro. The other roll we got was the Nebraska roll which is a Las Vegas roll with spicy tuna crab mix, this roll use to be my favorite but they have changed it and use fake crab in there mix. The other roll my mother ordered was the South Carolina roll which was deep fried but all I could taste was rice and the deep fried tempura, not good. The roll was ok actually disappointing. Overall the food was above average and is worth trying if you haven’t been there before.
SERVICE: B+
The service here decent we were the only two in the restaurant and they were great until after we got our food and then they didn’t come back for 15 minutes. We both needed a refill on our water and they seemed to have dropped the ball on this. Overall good service!
PRICE: $-$$
The sushi was $48 and that was for four rolls, salad and a miso soup, average$10 per roll.
CLEANLINESS: A
All I have to say with as many people that were going in and out it, it was clean.
OVERALL: B
Overall I give it a B I recommend this restaurant for dinner, happy hour, or if you are going to see a movie at Harkins Arrowhead and you haven’t eaten give it a shot. Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
