I just got accepted into Phoenix school of law and Cindy decided to take me out for a celebration dinner so we decided to try something a lil different.

FOOD: B

Haus Murphy’s is a German restaurant located in downtown Glendale. We started off with potato soup which had the consistency of clam chowder but was milder in flavor and tasted great. Then we got sauerkraut and chicken sausage pizza with a German cheese, this pizza was very different and would not order it again the sauerkraut was over powering and that is all that you could really taste. The only thing you got from the cheese and the chicken sausage was the texture. Our main course was the Bauernplatte Combo for two; it had three types of bratwursts, ham, pork, cabbage sauerkraut, German potatoes and German potato salad. All of the brats we amazing, the red cabbage was great; there was nothing really special about the sauerkraut. The ham tasted like any other ham and the Pork reminded me of a fried boneless pork chop. Over all the food was good and this would not be a place that I would visit regularly but would definitely go back.

SERVICE: B+

The service was great and the waiters are very knowledgeable of the menu and can answer any questions about the menu that you may have.

PRICE: $-$$

CLEANLINESS: A
