La Cocina taco almost great GRADE B+

We got to the best taco shop in Arizona and when we got there we realized that it had gone out of business. This was a very sad day for us since we loved that place and really enjoyed everything about it. We realized that it was time to venture out and find a new taco place, we drove down 16th street and found…

FOOD: B+

La Cocina Taco shop on 16th street and McDowell which is a taco shop and a torta hut. We ordered a bean burrito, a carne torta, a carne asada taco, tripes taco, and a cabeza taco. I bite into my first taco, the cabeza and let me tell you this was a great taco better than the other place that just closed down, the tacos are bigger and have a slightly better flavor. The carne taco was a bit dry and crunchy but still a good taco. The tripes tacos was ways to greasy and not very crunchy like it should be.

The bean burrito tasted like salty pinto beans, but the torta was amazing the mean was perfect and the toppings are to die for, the special sauce, avocado and jalapeƱos, lettuce, tomato and salsa.

There salsa was alright the green salsa was very good but not spicy, where the red salsa was spicy but didn’t have the best flavor, good flavor though.

The one thing that I do miss that I think they should add is a plate of toppings for the tacos. Like guacamole, radishes, onions and cucumbers, just a thought.

SERVICE: B

The service was very good they took our order and the best part about this place is they don’t cook food until it is ordered, that means everything you get is fresh. They even deliver the food to your table when it is ready.

PRICE: $

For five tacos, a burrito, a torta and three drinks it came out to $23.

CLEANLINESS: B

All I have to say it that the tables were kind of clean plus we had to clean off the table we wanted to eat at.

OVERALL: B+

Overall I give it a B+ the tacos were almost as good, the salsa was not as good but their service was pretty good.

Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
