We went on another adventure with my mom, she wanted to have Mexican food since she has not had any since the last time we went out to eat, so we decided to try something new.

Pepe’s Restaurant and taco shop which is located on 19th avenue and camelback in Phoenix has Mexican Food and tacos. I decided to try one of their house specials which was carnitas in a salsa Verde and red sauce with a side of rice and beans. The carnitas was very spicy and had god flavor but would have had great flavor if they added salt to their recipe, once I added salt the dynamic of the dish changed and then tasted amazing. The chips were homemade and the salsa was too once again the salsa had no salt and needed salt. Both salsas were very spicy and delicious. The chicken chimichanga was fresh and the chicken was very moist and spiced perfectly. The rice and beans were very good as well. Overall pretty good food not great and I would definitely go there again.

All I have to say is everywhere I looked it was clean. GOOD JOB!

Overall I give it a B+- the food was pretty good and the service was great, there are better spots for tacos and homemade Mexican food then here.
