Squid Ink Sushi which is on Peoria right on the corner or Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant BLVD. The décor is very art deco and very clean inside. We ordered a number of rolls, crab cakes and a desert. The rolls were ordered were the Philly, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, Tahoe, and the Horky Fook (the last two were house rolls). The crab puffs were pretty good they had chunks of crab and cream cheese and a homemade sweet and sour dipping sauce that was very good. The rolls which were the main course were pretty good! The Philly roll was decent it had the right combination of cucumber, cream cheese and smoked salmon but the fish didn’t taste as fresh as I would have liked it. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna were very spicy and once again tasted a little bit old, maybe the fish they used wasn’t the highest quality. The house rolls were decent the Tahoe roll which was a fresh water crab roll was different it was very fishy but good. The roll of the Night was the Horky Fook it had shrimp tempura avocado, spicy tuna and fried jalapeños, this roll was great. Overall the sushi was pretty good I was just hoping for better but overall tasty and eatable. The desert we had were Beignets which are a New Orleans specialty which are fried Doughnuts with chocolate sauce and raspberry dipping sauce, these were amazing. I would come here again if I was on this side of town but I would not go out of my way to come here.

All I have to say is everywhere I looked it was clean.

Overall I give it a B- the food was pretty darn good just needed a little higher quality fish and the service was great. Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
