It was Krystal’s Birthday. Krystal is Cindy’s younger sister. We decided to go out for her birthday, and she wanted to try something new. So we hopped in our car and drove to Avondale to…
FOOD: F
Manny’s Mexican Cantina located on El mirage and Indian School. We were seated promptly and our table was nice and secluded which is nice for a family get together. The service was great they came right out and brought us chips and salsa which again tasted store bought and not homemade at all, very disappointing. We ordered our drinks and everything was good up to that point. Everyone orders there food and comes out just as ordered. Our waitress who had to take 15 orders did a great job of getting all of our orders down right. I got two shredded beef tacos which they are famous for according to our waitress. Let me tell you and I don’t mean to toot my own horn but if you want good shredded beef tacos then you have to try my homemade beef taco recipe, mine are a million times better. Their tacos were so fried and tasteless that I only ate half of one taco. The beans I know were not home made because I just had there beans from a restaurant 15 miles away and the same for the rice. According to Cindy the shrimp tacos were good and so were the fajitas. These days’ most Mexican food restaurants are not being real with their family recipes and trying to appease the masses.
PRICE: $-$$
For 15 people the bill was around $220 which was decent with drinks and desert
CLEANLINESS: A
The inside and outside were clean and the empty tables were just as clean as the one I was sitting in.
OVERALL: D+
Overall I give it a D+ not good Mexican food and I don’t recommend it to anyone, but you are always welcome to try it for yourself and find out, maybe you will like it. Locations and contact information for the restaurant is located on the menu. Make it a great day and eat well, you deserve it.
